Since the past couple of years, army has been recruiting felons so that they can lead a normal life, once out of prison. The army has a program named "'Moral Waiver Program", under which many criminals have found employment as drivers, construction workers and administration staff in the army. Most army jobs will require a felon to be a high school pass out.
Tips to Find Employment: As mentioned earlier, employment for felons is not at all easy to get by. That's why, to improve his prospects, a felon should upgrade his skills and at least complete his high school education. There are certain government agencies as well as non profits who run vocational courses for felons, which train them for a particular job and hence, help them in finding a job. So, these too can be opted for, by a felon, to find a good job.
In the end, to actually get a job, a felon has to come across as a trustworthy person in his interview. He should display positive attitude and also come across as someone who has changed and wants to move ahead in life. If he is able to do this, plus searches for jobs at the right place and contacts the right people, a felon can surely find employment.
